The Junior Team Tennis league runs from April 5 to June 7
12U Green Ball – Ages 10 to 12
Matches
- The league will start Saturday, April 5 and end Saturday, June 7
- All of the matches are on Saturdays
- Our home court for matches is Rock Quarry.
- We need a minimum of 3 players for each team competition.
- Players will call their lines and keep score.
- They will play two sets out of three, and the scoring is no ad. The player who gets to 4 games first wins the set. The third set is a 7-point tiebreaker, win by 1 point.
- Players will play singles, doubles, or possibly both for each match. A player can play one singles and one doubles or two doubles matches.
- Each match includes two singles and two doubles.
Practice
Practice is on Tuesdays from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Forest Hills Park (1639 University Drive, Durham, 27707)
In April, practice is at Forest Hills Park from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. The last 30 minutes are focused on match play and are optional.
Cost and Registration
For players not planning to play any matches, only step #3 to register for team practice is required. To play matches, players must do steps 1 through 3.
- Players must join the USTA and get a USTA number. There is no fee for joining. Players can renew their USTA membership using the USTA Junior Membership Page Link.
- Register the player for the team using the new USTA number and the team number (7039495934). On the Team Tennis Registration page, enter the player’s USTA membership number and the team number (7039495934), and click submit in the table. After you hit submit, you must pay the league fee of $33.15.
- Players will pay a team fee of $25. This fee can be provided by completing the registration below or by paying in person with a check (to AGA Tennis or Angela Allen), or I can send a PayPal invoice before the end of the season.
