It is time to sign-up for Junior Team Tennis (JTT). This league gives participants the opportunity to play tennis as a group. The group will play opponents in the Durham league. The matches will take place at different locations. Each team will host home matches as well as travel to away matches in the area.
Each week participants will practice together and play a match together. The team match-ups will be comprised of singles and doubles matches. This format is fun for the kids because they get a chance to make new friends while cheering for each other.
The league will start at the end of March and end mid May. Match days and practice days will depend on the age group and the coach.
There are two requirements to play in the Durham JTT league,
- USTA membership
- local league sign-up
Each players USTA membership needs to run through the end of July in order to be eligible to play in the Spring season. The Junior USTA membership is $20.00 or FREE if a first time participant. The USTA membership will last for 365 days. It will allow the player entry into USTA sanctioned tournaments and other USTA sponsored events. The sign-up for the USTA membership and for the local league are all done on the USTA site. See this league flyer for registration details.
